🍕Whole30 Pizza "Crust"🍕

In my opinion, the hardest part about making a Whole30 Pizza is figuring out the crust! Sure, you can use Potato Skins or slices of Sweet Potato as a base, but it just doesn’t have that same pizza crunch. Since recreating a baked good is a big no-no on the Whole30, I decided to get creative with this 4 ingredient pizza “crust”! The crust consist of just a cup of seeds and a bell pepper...THAT’S IT! To keep this pizza crust even more compliant, you don’t even bake it, you dehydrate it! Once the crust is dehydrated, all you have to do it top it with your favorite Whole30 toppings and enjoy!

My boyfriend Jimmy kept his pizza classic and topped it with Pesto Chicken, whereas I dragged mine up into a BBQ Chicken Bacon Pineapple Ranch Masterpiece🍗🥓🍍😹 Let me know who’s pizza you think looks better and check out the recipe below!

*I’ve also included the conversions for a 12inch and 9inch crust depending on how hungry you are!*

INGREDIENTS

For a 12-inch Crust

  • 1/3 Cup Go Raw Pumpkin Seeds

  • 1/3 Cup Flax Meal

  • 1/3 Cup Shelled Hemp Seeds(I found they were cheapest on Amazon)

  • 1 Bell Pepper, seeds & stem removed

For a 9-inch Crust

  • 1/4 Cup Go Raw Pumpkin Seeds

  • 1/4 Cup Flax Meal

  • 1/4 Cup Shelled Hemp Seeds

  • 1 Small Bell Pepper, seeds & stem removed

INSTRUCTIONS:

  1. Preheat your oven to its lowest temperature(170° was mine). You can also use a dehydrator if you have one! You’ll just have to adjust the time and temperature as I’ve only dehydrated this recipe in my oven.

  2. Combine all ingredients in a food processor and blend on high for 2-3 minutes, until the mixture is similar in texture to a thick oatmeal. You may need to scrape the sides of your food processor once or twice to ensure everything is blended evenly.

  3. Line a baking sheet with a piece of parchment paper. I highly recommend using one that has 1inch measuring lines on it as it makes the next step so much easier!

  4. Form your “dough” into a ball and place it directly in the middle of your baking sheet. Begin spreading the dough out evenly in a circular motion with your fingers until a pizza crust is formed(I find this step works best when done by hand, I’ve used a rolling pin in the past as well but it tends to stick too much).

  5. Place your crust in the oven and bake for 3-5 hours, depending on how crispy you like your pizza! I’ve included a “Crisp Crust Calculator” below as I’ve made this pizza WAY to many time now!😹

  6. Once your crust is done, remove it from the oven and top with your favorite toppings! Place the pizza back in the oven for about 10-15 minutes, or until everything is warm. ENJOY!

***CRISP CRUST CALCULATOR***

  • 3 Hours - Softer Crust, tends to break while eating it.

  • 4 Hours- The Perfect “Pizza” Crust, holds up perfectly.

  • 5 Hours - Crispy Cracker Crust, adding just a little bit more crunch, my personal favorite!

(I’ve never tried 6 hours, but if you do, let me know how it turns out!)
